Eggnog design – by Kate Edmunds

My first passion has always been illustrating.  After the arrival of my children, I began illustrating books for publishing houses and creating greeting cards for family and friends.   Eggnogg was a natural progression. The name itself comes from one of my early greeting card designs depicting a nostalgic 70s party (inspired by ‘Abigail’s Party’).

Eggnogg provided me with a blank canvas to carry-out the things I enjoy most: creating Colinfun, quirky characters that bring a smile to everyone’s face.

Through Eggnogg, I try to create products that bring a fresh approach to colouring.  The bold designs help challenge the senses and stimulate the imagination, offering a perfect solution to calming the rowdiest of children!

My adoration for textiles has always been a bit of an obsession. Following a visit to The National Gallery and V&A, I was inspired to unleash Eggnogg onto textiles.  I began imagining ways of incorporating children’s colouring creations into practical, functional and fun products.

FergalThis later transpired into a range of fabric products that help motivate children to get even more creative with colour. The first of these was the ‘Create A Cuddly…’ tea towel toy – a unique project which is certain to keep imaginations flowinof place on the sofa, and the ‘Colour-in Kit Bag’ – enabling g from start to finish.  In four simple steps, the unique colour-in tea towel transforms into a cute cuddly toy:  colour-in, cut-out, sew together, and fill… voila, the toys are all set for some exciting role-play adventures!

The newest additions include the ‘My Little Masterpiece Cushion’ – a keepsake colour-in creation that can take pride children to personalise their own kit bag with a rainbow of colours to brighten up PE, swimming lessons or sleepovers!eggnog

The wonderful thing about the new textile range is their versatility; children can create
and make something beautiful that can be used for play, to decorate the home, or to store things in – perfectly complementing our range of colour-in card and paper products!

There’s more exciting products in production at this very moment, so watch this space!
