It’s Mother’s Day next Sunday (30th March) so we’ve put together some quick, easy and lovely ideas for cards and gifts that children can make to bring smiles to their mum’s faces. We don’t know about you but here at Team Netmums we really don’t expect expensive presents at all on Mother’s Day and love nothing more than receiving home made cards and sticky kisses. A lie in is perhaps the biggest treat of all (note though that breakfast in bed can be a bit hit and miss – cold toast, crumbs in the duvet…). Any of these treasures would make our day.

Say it with flowers.
You can make a hand picked or cheap bunch of spring flowers look a million dollars just by wrapping in tissue paper and ribbon, lace or even in a brightly patterned fabric. Gorgeous.
Or why not make a bunch of blooms which will last much longer, such as our easy peasy colourful tissue paper flowers, bun case blooms or bright and cheery daffodils?
Cheery handmade cards
We have some lovely art and craft ideas, which all would make gorgeous Mother’s Day cards. Our very favourite might be these printed fork flowers.
But we have loads more lovely ideas for making cards too. Find them all here.
Pretty fabric wrapped soaps
A nice bar of soap can look a million dollars if you wrap it in pretty fabric and tie with ribbon or lace. It elevates a small gift into a thing of beauty and is a lovely quick handmade gift for kids to put together.
A nice sit down and a cup of tea
Give mum the gift of a nice bit of time to sit down and put her feet up with a cuppa with this gorgeous card/gift idea.
